Some boulders turned up during course maintenance at Oakland Beach, and now they're in play.
The course opened in 1927 and was once part of a hotel, the Oakland Beach Hotel on Conneaut Lake, whose lakeside front was shaped like the prow of a ship. Walter Hagen and Tommy Armour once played an exhibition match here.

The Oaklander Grille looks over the course, and you don't have to be a golfer to eat there.
