Carroll Valley finishes on a par 3 that runs beside the ski lifts. It's the 18-hole championship course at Liberty Mountain Resort, down in a valley in the Appalachian foothills, and a clear mountain stream sits in front of a good share of the holes. Ault, Clark & Associates did the design.
You'll meet that stream at No. 4. It's the hardest, a par 5 with a blind tee shot and the stream waiting short of the green. No. 9 is a decision: lay up to the short fairway left of the lake, or take your drive straight over it.
The pro shop and two golf simulators are downstairs in the Highland Lodge, and Eagle & The Owl has a drink waiting when you come off the course.
Find the deals near you, plus GPS and a scorecard at 40,000+ courses.
Same pass, more courses close by.
