Birdsfoot trefoil grows all over the course, and some of it is left from a hay field Alexander H. Lindsay planted on Buffalo Creek Farms in the late 1950s. That field is now the third and fourth holes, and his barn stood where the 18th green is today.
The 18 championship holes roll across the Buffalo Creek Valley, with 5 sets of tees and big, undulating greens, reaching 7,044 yards at par 72 from the Gold. No. 3, the Hombre, has no bunkers, No. 9 closes the front side with a par 3 over a deep ravine, and the tee at No. 12 sits at the course's highest point.
Outings get a festive tent seating up to 144 golfers, and shotgun packages start at 24 golfers. Lessons use a SkyTraK launch monitor, and the shop handles regripping, reshafting and custom fittings.
