Ben Hogan played an exhibition match here in May 1941, when the club was Langhorne Country Club. Alexander Findlay laid out the first nine in 1913 and completed the second in 1916, and twelve of Findlay's original holes remain in play.
George Fazio owned the club from 1960 into the early 1980s and renovated several holes. Stephen Kay, Peter Fazio and Tyler Rae have had a hand since.
It isn't long, but rolling ground in the Neshaminy Valley hands you uphill, downhill and sidehill lies, and the greens are small with plenty of movement. The par 3s go by the Fearsome Four. At the 10th you thread a tee shot between trees and over a creek to a two-tiered green on a plateau.
Gary Player teed it up at Middletown in 2020, at 85, and put his tee shot on the 10th two feet from the hole.
