Somerset Farms sits right on the Rapidan River in eastern Orange County, 16 miles west of Fredericksburg, with the Blue Ridge Mountains off on the northern horizon. Tulsa architect Jerry Slack designed around the old farm's terrain and left its wetlands in place. The holes wind through rolling woods and wetland, with a mix of traditional and links style play.
The farm has history too. James S. Somerville built its manor house in 1834, and during the Civil War it sheltered pickets from General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia.
