The ground tumbles at Mountain Greens, and the resort says the course is known for steep terracing on its tees and fairways. It tests how well you handle fairway speed and tight angles.
On a par 5, a creek splits the fairway and swallows many tee shots. The course says to lay up short of it and play the hole in three. The hole after it asks for a very demanding tee shot, and your second has to carry the creek.
Elsewhere you drive from an elevated tee, out to a generous fairway. A par 3 plays uphill to a green with bunkers around it, and the "M" bunker sits in front of the putting surface, so don't come up short.
