Sawmill Creek details

Since 1974, Sawmill Creek Golf Club has tested the mettle of professional and amateur golfers from around the world. Designed by world-renowned golf architect Tom Fazio, this 6,700-yard, par 71 golf course delivers not only a challenge but also an escape to nature found nowhere else in northeast Ohio. Fast, large and undulating putting surfaces make par a true achievement for even the most skilled golfer. Few public golf courses can boast the assortment of challenging par 3s that Sawmill Creek offers, with the 195-yard seventh hole being the toughest. This early Fazio masterpiece is enclosed in lavish scenery—Sheldon Marsh Nature Preserve to the west, Lake Erie to the north and Sawmill Creek to the east—delivering two distinct experiences. The front nine also called the "Creek Nine" gives the golfer a traditional northern feel with Sawmill Creek meandering around four of the outward nine holes. The "Lake Nine", or back nine, evokes a feeling of being in the Carolinas. Large, beautiful weeping willow trees protecting freshwater lakeside marshes make the inward nine an experience to remember. Sawmill Creek Golf Club is now under the ownership of Cedar Fair entertainment company and has undergone updates for the upcoming season. Guests of all Cedar Point resorts can now include rounds at Sawmill Creek Golf Club in their stay package. Please note that Sawmill Creek Golf Club encourages the use of credit/debit card and touchless payment options as cash is not accepted. You may convert cash into a debit-card at the kiosk inside the Pro Shop.
