The Bay Course at Seaview isn't about length. At 6,300 yards, it tests accuracy and the short game instead. There are deep pot bunkers and small, rolling greens, and the course has a Scottish links feel with views of the sea.
Hugh Wilson and Donald Ross designed it, and it opened in 1914. Nine of its holes were part of the 1942 PGA Championship, the one that gave Sam Snead his first major, and it's the current home of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
The range has six target greens, and the big putting green by the cart staging area has more than a dozen holes. Seaview's Pines Course and its hotel are on the same Galloway property.
